— About this job
The problem
A 1920s bungalow with two layers of worn three-tab shingles and soft decking at the eaves.
The owners called after a ceiling stain showed up in the back bedroom. The inspection found two layers of 1990s shingles and rotted decking along the north eave. We stripped both layers to the deck, replaced four sheets of decking and put on Class 4 shingles in charcoal, so the next hailstorm is less of a worry.
What we did
- Tear-off of two layers to the deck
- Four sheets of decking replaced
- Ice and water shield at eaves and valleys
- Class 4 shingles with ridge vents
